Elle Gene Messenger, infant daughter of Benjamin & Emily Rothenbuhler Messenger of Barnesville, Ohio passed away July 12, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital.
In addition to her parents she is survived by two brothers; Elijah Emory and Blake Lewis Messenger, maternal grandparents; Gene & Darlene Rothenbuhler of Cameron, Ohio, paternal grandparents; Daniel & Kathy Messenger of Barnesville, Ohio, great grandparents; Alan (Jane) Eschbaugh of Salesville, Ohio Lewis (Mary) Messenger of Barnesville, James Delong of Woodsfield, and the late Donna Delong, and the late Emory and Catherine Rothenbuhler, Aunts and Uncles; Tina (Keith) Dietrich of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Amanda (Ryon) Eddy of Barnesville, Kelli (Chris) Randall of Cameron, Michael (Letisha) Messenger of Cameron, Adam (Sammie) Messenger of Barnesville, and several cousins.
Friends will be received from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday July 20, 2012 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Keith Jones officiating. Interment in the Cameron Cemetery Cameron, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes, Ohio Chapter, 5425 Warner Road, Suite 10, Cleveland, Ohio 44125.

Emily, my heart aches for you and your family. I pray for strength and comfort for you. I wish we could have got to know little Elle but God had bigger better plans for her, she now gets to watch over all of you down here. Precious baby will. N ever feel pain, hurt or sadness. All my love to you.

Messenger Family, my deepest sympathy on the loss of Elle. I have often wondered why children so young have to die, and someone told me that God does not want just older people in heaven. Dear Emily, Ben and family.....so sorry to hear about little Elle. She is now being held in the arms of Jesus our Savior....as I pray that you will allow Him to hold you all! I pray that the Lord will comfort the pain in your hearts and remember, this is not our home, we're just passing through. Emily and family,
I want to tell you. You had a wonderful little Angel Elle Gene Messenger. I know the days are going to be hard to get through but just remember she will always be with us all. God only knows why he took her from you so young. He had better plans for her. God will give you the courage and strength to make it through the hard times.
