Mary Virginia Cline, age 79 of Woodsfield, Ohio died at her home August 5, 2012. She was born Sept. 19, 1932, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, to the late Herbert and Bertha Cope Newlin, and married James W. Cline, March 19, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio.
A graduate of St. Clairsville High School, she became a Registered Nurse through studies at Ohio Valley Hospital and Parkersburg Hospital. She then worked at Ohio Valley Hospital, attaining the position of Head Nurse. After studies at Ohio State University, where she received a Bachelor Degree and a Masters Degree in Nursing, she became a nursing instructor at Ohio State University. She then took the position of Assistant Professor at Capital University, where she retired in 1977, having received the honor of Professor Emeritus of Nursing. Her last 30 years were spent traveling with her husband in all 50 United States, most of the states of Mexico, most of the Provinces of Canada, and 17 countries in Europe. After cremation, ashes will be scattered in her two favorite places in the Rocky Mountains and the Florida Keys.
She is survived by her husband; James W. Cline of Woodsfield, two sons; William R. (Cheryl) Cline of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Alan D. (Kathryn) Cline of Jacksonville, Florida and two grandchildren, James Andrew Cline and Molly K. Cline of Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
