Helen Cronin Brown, 92 of Westerville, Ohio passed away Saturday April 22, 2017.  She was born in Woodsfield, Ohio April 16, 1925 the daughter of the late Clark and Lola Smith Cronin.

Helen graduated from Woodsfield High School in 1942.  After graduation she attended Elliott Business School in Wheeling, West Virginia then moved to Akron and worked for Goodyear building the Corsair Navy Fighter Plane for World War II.  Helen married Roger A. Brown on June 5, 1944.  She worked at the Boston Store and then J.C. Penney from where she retired.  

She was a member of the Church of the Messiah United Methodist Church in Westerville.  

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 72 years, Roger A. Brown and two brothers, Warren and Ward Cronin.

She is survived by daughter Darla (Paul) Reich of Middletown, Ohio, a son Roger C. (Anna) Brown of Woodsfield, Ohio and two grandchildren Kirk Reich of Middletown, Ohio, and Kori (Scott) Markle of Middletown, Ohio and three great grandchildren, Rylie Markle, Lincoln Markle, and Graham Reich, and nephew and nieces: Dick (Joyce) Brown, Sue (Keith) Miller, Nancy Williams, and Linda Kilpatrick, Marsha (Mike) Sexton, Warren (Maria) Cronin, Colleen (Kirk) Shively, Julia (Ray) Meek, Shawn (Rachel) Cronin, and Matthew (Vicki) Cronin.

Friends will be received Wednesday April 26, 2017 from 11 a.m. – 12:45p.m. at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio. Per Helen’s request Graveside Service will follow at 1 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. Dear Ones,
My heart is very sad at this time, but I know that Helen missed her love so very much. She was truly a Lady. So very kind and had a beautiful smile every time I saw her. I have ask God to wrap his arms around all of you to help heal your broken hearts. Darla and Paul you will a little extra love and prayers.. I'm sending lots of love and prayers to all of you. I was so sorry to hear of Helen's passing; she was such a lovely lady. It seemed as though alumni weekend was not successful without seeing Helen and Roger. They will continue to be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to the family with hugs and prayers.
