Alice Lumbatis

Alice Arizona Lumbatis, 98, of Howard, Ohio formerly of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Sunday November 11, 2018 at the Mount Vernon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Monroe County Ohio April 16, 1920 a daughter of the late Edward B. McGarry and Orabel Hickenbotham McGarry.

She was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church, where she was the prayer chain coordinator.  She was also a member of the Quilt Club, and the Rebekah Lodge.  She enjoyed gardening and walking every day.

Preceded in death by her husband Willard Earl Lumbatis, son John W. Lumbatis, and two brothers John Henry McGarry, and Gale Springer.

She is survived by her son Edward Lumbatis of Howard, Ohio, a sister Vera (Ellis) Hines of Woodsfield, Ohio, daughters-in-law Carol Lumbatis of Lewisville, and Roni Lumbatis of Mount Vernon, Ohio, 6 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Friends received from 11a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday November 15, 2018 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. Tom Orr officiating.  Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery Lewisville, Ohio.
