Doris R. Latimer

Doris R. Latimer of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday May 17, 2019 at the Arbors at Woodsfield.  She was born in Monroe County Ohio a daughter of the late Frank and Thelma Steed Amos.

Doris was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Woodsfield.  She was an ardent supporter of Monroe County Athletics and the youth of our community.  She was the Monroe County and Monroe County Court House news correspondent for the Time Leader newspaper. She also enjoyed knitting and quilting. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband E. Dale Latimer, two brothers Carl and John Amos, and one sister Mary Brubach.

She is survived by her son E. Dale (Cindy) Latimer II of Grass Valley, California, and daughter Christine Latimer of Woodsfield, one brother John (Mary) Winland of Shadyside, Ohio and two sisters Martha Hickenbottom of Barnesville, Ohio and Barb Rinard of Woodsfield, two grandchildren Halie Latimer and Carter Latimer, and great grandson Cache. 

Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday May 20, at the Bauer- Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Tuesday May 21, 2019 at the Woodsfield First United Methodist Church 136 N. Main St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. David Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Woodsfield.
