Fred W. McConnell Jr.

Fred W. McConnell Jr., 70 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday February 1, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio January 10, 1949 a son of the late Fred W. McConnell Sr. and Phyllis Flynn McConnell.

He retired with 40 years of service with Monroe Auto Parts.  He was a member of the Cameron Church of Christ, was an avid Ohio State Fan, and loved his grandkids and had a great love for animals.

Fred’s final gift was being an organ tissue eye donor to the Center for Organ Recovery and Education. www.core.org

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Dean Keevert, and sister-in-law Susan McConnell.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Bertschy McConnell of Woodsfield, son Craig (Monica) McConnell of Woodsfield, daughter Kayla McConnell of Dayton, Ohio, brother Mack McConnell of Sardis, Ohio, sisters Dorothy Keevert of Woodsfield, and Beverly Brown of Las Vegas, Nevada, four grandchildren Hunter, Tristan, Nicholas, and Adrian, and his beloved pet and best buddy Rusty.
