Grace Roberts

Grace Morris Roberts, 82, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Sunday January 20, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital.  She was born in Beallsville, Ohio August 27, 1936 a daughter of the late Kennard (Skip) and Lela Morris.

She graduated from Beallsville High School and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Marywood College with a BS in Business Administration.  Grace retired from Ameritech where she worked for 40 years.  Also she was a past president and life-long member of the Steubenville Council of the Telephone Pioneers of America as well as a member and past president of the Woodfield VFW Auxiliary #5303.  Threw life she was an avid archer in both hunting and championship competitions and breeder and owner of AKC show dogs.  She loved gardening, cooking, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Harley Boughner, and her brother and his wife Paul and Marjorie Morris.

She is survived by her daughter Saundra Sofia of Woodsfield, son Scott Christman of Warwood, West Virginia and his children Jacklynn and Jacob.  She is also survived by a step son Michael Roberts and his daughter Lydia, a step daughter Dawn Roberts and her sons Josh and Cody, and several well-loved nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday January 22 at the  at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio where Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday January 23, 2019 with Rev. David Cottrell officiating.  Burial will follow at the Beallsville Cemetery Beallsville, Ohio.
