Helen Selmon

Helen Selmon, age 95, of New Matamoras, Ohio went to be with the lord January 27, 2010 at Selby Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. Helen resided in the Monroe County Care Center since October 2009. She was born in Washington County Ohio September 27, 1914 a daughter of the late George & Grace Lovett Barker.



Preceded in death by her husband: Jess V. Selmon - November 1968, 1 son: Robert Selmon - November 2009, 1 sister: Ruth Steele, and 2 granddaughters.



She is survived by 5 children:
Grace King - Graysville, Ohio,
Ruby (Duane) Ring - Graysville, Ohio,
George (Judy) Selmon - Chester, West Virginia,
Walter Selmon - East Liverpool, Ohio,
Wilma Selmon (and companion Bob Fitzsimons) - East Liverpool, Ohio,
1 daughter-in-law: Sherry Selmon - New Matamoras, Ohio,
1 sister: Jessie Tidd - Marietta, Ohio,


13 grandchildren: Pam (Roy) Childress, Richard (Lisa) Earley, Greg (Brenda) Earley, Brenda (Gregory) Motich, Debra (Jerry) Weddle, Vicki (John) Guenther, Randall (Jackie) Ring, Bobbi Sayre, Lisa Vance, Karen Darby, Denise Johnson, Christine (Bill) Hughes, Jimmy Earley.

29 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.



Friends received from ( 4 - 8 ) p.m. Saturday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where Funeral Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday January 31, 2010 with Roger Rush officiating. Interment in the New Matamoras Cemetery New Matamoras, Ohio.
