Kenneth Jr. Saffle

Kenneth Jr. Saffle, age 79 of Woodsfield, Ohio departed this life on Thursday May 1, 2008. He was born March 14, 1929 in Woodsfield, Ohio a son of the late Kenneth and Hazel Eddy Saffle.


Ken was a 1948 graduate of Woodsfield High School and an Army veteran serving from January 1951 to December 1953 in Korea with the 25th. Infantry Division. He was employed by Consolidated Aluminum for 32 years and was a devoted member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 step-daughter: Judy Thomas.


Ken is survived by his wife of over 42 years: Rose Saffle of Woodsfield,
2 daughters: Connie Saffle (Kevin) Bowling - Given, West Virginia,
Karen Saffle (Sam) Shutway - Flushing, Ohio,
1 step-daughter: Sharon (Bill) Tremblay - Beallsville, Ohio,2 sisters: Peggy (James) Secret - Florida,
Doris Ann (Chancey) Lafferre - West Virginia,

7 grandchildren: Luke Shutway, Matthew Koukios, Heather (Ben) Mann, Ryan Tremblay, Aimee Tremblay, Krystal (Richard) Tennant, and Kevin Thomas.
7 great grandchildren: Tiffany (Michael) Winslow, Cory Tennant, Stephanie Tennant, Christian Tennant, Connor Mann, Liam Mann, and Gavin Thomas.
1 great-great grandchild: Ashton Winslow.

Friends received from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Sunday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday May 5, 2008 with Charles Schultheisz and Keith Jones officiating. Interment in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio. Veterans service conducted by the Belmont Veterans Council.
