Marjorie Meilander

Marjorie (Mardee) Meilander, 96, Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday January 21, 2019 at Astoria Place of Barnesville.  She was born in Cherry Valley, Ohio October 21, 1922 a daughter of the late Daniel & Elizabeth Burkett Wentz.

She was a Lutheran by faith.  Mardee was a retired elementary 3rd. grade teacher from Garfield Heights and Brunswick, Ohio. She enjoyed reading, gardening, & travel.  She was a published author and poet.  

She is survived by two sons Daniel Meilander of Melbourne, Florida, and James (Joan) Meilander of Gualala, California, and one daughter Merry (Ed) Vargo of Woodsfield, two grandchildren Tom and Ron Vargo, and four great grandchildren.

Memorial Service 1 p.m. Saturday January 26, 2019 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. Sean Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio. www.bauerturner.com
