Myrle F. Crist

Mr. Myrle Fredrick Crist, 87, of Woodsfield, died at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia on June 28, 2018.  He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on June 3, 1931, son of the late Clarence Carl and Pauline Leone (Smith) Christ.

He is survived by his second wife Elaine “Suzi” Marie (Hatch) Crist; one son, Rick and his wife, Tamie (White) Crist, of Nashua, NH and one daughter, Molly (Crist) Davis of Woodsfield; four grandchildren, Alissa Crist of Toluca Lake, CA, Joshua Crist of Nashua, NH and Bradley and Brandon Davis of Woodsfield.  He is also survived by siblings: Dale (and Carol) Christ, Janice (and David) Camp, Howard (and Barbara) Christ, Marcia Rohrbaugh, Louise Allman and Roger (and Patricia) Christ.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jo (Keyes) Crist and infant son, Eric Russell Crist.  He was also preceded in death by siblings: Kenneth Smith, Irma Morris and Russell Christ.

Myrle was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean war.  He worked at Ormet Corporation for 35 years.  Myrle was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Woodsfield.

Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday July 8, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Woodsfield.  Reverend David Cottrell and Reverend Patricia Mulder Christ will officiate.  Arrangements by Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio.
