Roger Schumacher

Roger E. Schumacher, age 78, of Woodsfield, Ohio died Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born in Woodsfield Thanksgiving Day November 26, 1931, a son of the late Herbert and Stella Bing Schumacher.



He was a lifelong member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church of Woodsfield. He was a veteran of the Korean War, was retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation and was a producer of Oil and Gas wells.



In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother: Elmer Schumacher and 1 sister: Rita Schumacher Singleton.



He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Yost Schumacher of Woodsfield,
3 sons: John (Patricia) Schumacher - Loveland, Ohio,
Robert Schumacher - Plano, Texas,
Roger J. Schumacher - Meridian, Idaho,
1 daughter: Elizabeth Beauford - Mesa, Arizona,
6 grandchildren: Courtney (Brian) Cherry - Chesterfield, Virginia,
Maggie Schumacher - Portland, Oregon, Megan (Justin) Parcell - Cincinnati, Ohio, Brian Schumacher - St. Louis, Missouri, Spencer & Remington Schumacher - Meridian, Idaho.



Friends received from (2-4) & (6-8) p.m. Friday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday December 5, 2009 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. Fr. David Gaydosik Officiating. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Vigil Services 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
