Shirley Headley

Shirley J. Headley, age 80, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday September 4, 2018 at her home.  She was born in Monroe County Ohio June 18, 1938 a daughter of the late Clurney & Lydia Carpenter Reed.

She was a member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ and was the owner of Headley Meats of Woodsfield.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Homer Headley, daughter-in-law; Evelyn “Chub” Headley, sisters; Vivian Gillispie, Martha Rossow, Lou McLaughlin, Harriet Gross, Fern Ackerman, and Eva Decker, and a brother; Edward Reed.

She is survived by her children; Sharon (John) Huffman of Jerusalem, Ohio, Russell Headley of Woodsfield, James (Wendy) Headley of Woodsfield, Kim Chaplin of Woodsfield, and Marlin (Debbie) Headley of Jerusalem, 14 grandchildren,  and 25 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday September 6, 20108 at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 7, 2018 Sam Bartrug officiating. Burial will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery Beallsville, Ohio. www.bauerturner.com.
