Larry Dennis Baker, age 69, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Thursday February 8, 2018 at Barnesville Hospital.  He was born in Woodsfield April 27, 1948 a son of the late Bob and Eureylee Saffle Baker.

He retired from the Laborers Local Union Marietta, Ohio, and the Water and Sewer Dept. in the Village of Woodsfield.  He was a US Army Veteran having served  from 1969- 1971 during the Vietnam Conflict. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his wife, and also enjoyed family get-togethers.  He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Danny Baker, six uncles, John, Claude, Paul, Ray, Floyd, and Ed Baker and one aunt, Mary Katherine Stevens.

He is survived by his wife Pauline Howell Baker of Woodsfield who he married September 29, 1973, one brother Leroy (Russie) Baker of Beallsville, Ohio, two uncles, Martin Baker of Woodsfield, and Charles Baker of Marietta, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday February 11, 2018 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio with Tim Fleeman officiating.  Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery near Antioch, Ohio.

Aunt Pauline, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Uncle Larry was the best, he was so lovable, sweet and funny and will be miss so very much. He was a big part of my life growing up and I hold him dear to my heart. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love you
