Betty Ischy

Betty R. Ischy 92, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Thursday November 7, 2024 at Emerald Pointe Nursing Center Barnesville, Ohio.  She was born in Monroe County Ohio a daughter of the late Earnest Frederick and Marcella Viola Weber Hoff.

Betty had worked at the Monroe County Care Center and was Co-Owner Owl Hollow Crafts with her late husband Vernon.  She was a founding member of Local Craft organizations and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.  She loved to watch game shows, and meeting new people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Ischy.

She is survived by her children; Talmage (Tom) Evans of Lewisville and his wife Jessica Mushi of Winston Salem, North Carolina, daughter Christine (Allen) Murphy of Marietta, Ohio, four sisters; Iva Wise of Barnesville, Eileen Wise of Belmont, Ohio Juanita (Sheldon) Blair of Arizona, and Dorothy Morris of Barnesville, grandchildren; Dale (Meagan) Hughes, Laura (Josh) Hughes, and MacMillian Mushi, eight great grandchildren, 11 step-great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, and her special pet friend Sammi.

Friends will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday November 13 and from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11am. Thursday November 14, 2024 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio.  Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery Lewisville, Ohio.
