Carol Jean Figel

Carol Jean Figel, 90, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday,  August 20, 2025 at Arbors at Woodsfield.  She was born in Chester, West Virginia November 28, 1934 a daughter of the late Carl W. and Doris Foreman Wilkinson.

She was a graduate of Weirton High School and attended the Alabama Teacher College.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Eli Figel, daughter Karen Sue Schleret, brother Carl Wilkinson Jr., two sisters Kay Fitting, and Judith Hale.

She is survived by her son Keith Figel of Woodsfield, Judith (Jeff) Emmons of Nashport, Ohio, son-in-law William Schleret of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Emily (Dan) Sammons, David (Ashley) Emmons, Bradley Workman, Eli Schleret, and Ethan Schleret, and great grandchildren, Oliver and Lincoln Sammons.

Friends received from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. September 6, 2025 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio with Rusty Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield.
