Charles Green, 83, of Akron, Ohio passed away Thursday February 11, 2021 at Akron General Hospital. He was born in Jerusalem, Ohio on September 22, 1937, the son of the late Leonard and Ada Green.
A farmer by heart, he retired from Horning Builders Supply in Kent, Ohio, where he worked for over 30 years as a member of Teamsters Local 348. He loved trucks, farm tractors, and working outdoors. After retirement, he continued to work in the landscaping, tree removal, and handyman professions for many years.
In addition to his parents, brother Dale, and grandson Dorian, he is preceded in death by Rebecca Green (Wise), his wife of 58 years, who passed away August 2, 2011.
He is survived by his three children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren: daughter and partner Merrie Green & Michelle White of Columbus, Ohio and grandchildren Sara, Joshua, and Ayanna; son & daughter-in-law Jason & Melissa Green of King George, Virginia and grandchildren Matthew and Arianne; and daughter and partner Ashley Green and Zach Drake of Canton, Ohio and grandchildren Trey, Carter, Aden, and Kingston.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday February 18, 2021 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Joshua Green officiating. Burial to follow at Jerusalem Cemetery in Jerusalem, Ohio.
