Clara Lee Leasure of Woodsfield Ohio passed away peacefully January 13, 2021 at the home of her daughter LeeAnn Stan, surrounded by loving family. She was born June 25, 1929 to late Frederick Delano Ricer and Sarah Elizabeth Moore Ricer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; James K (Jim) Leasure June 24, 1993, one grandson Aaron Griffin July 11, 2009, step-mothers; Marie Cox Ricer and Mary Smith Ricer, one sister; Dorothy White, six brothers; Raymond (Isabell), James Frederick (Dorothy), Robert (Lucille), Donald, Bernard (Mildred), and Billy, and her faithful companion, her dog Buster who died March 19, 2002.
She was a member of VFW Auxiliary 5303, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 87, former 4-H adviser and Mount Tabor Methodist Church Trustee.
She is survived by four daughters; Sandra (Larry) Griffin, Marilyn Sue (Danny) Fussell, LeeAnn (Thom) Stan, and Lora Jean Leasure. Grandchildren; Valerie (Matt Winland) Davis, Amy (Cory) Emerson, Johnna (Jerry) Zalmanek, Keri Schmelmer, John (Carrie) Smithberger Jr, Tyson (Glenda) Griffin, Amanda Grubb, and her special youngest granddaughter Alayna Grubb. Great grandchildren; Madison Holt, Joseph Davis, Jack, Julia and Joey Zalmanek, Shalyn Griffin, Layla and Ava Jones, Kaylee and Kaiden Schmelmer, Avery, Zoey and Blake Smithberger, A special friend and sister-in-law Dorothy Ricer, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours 10AM until time of funeral service at 1130AM Saturday January 16,2021 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield Ohio with John Arbogast officiating. Internment at Mount Tabor Cemetery Summerfield Ohio at 2PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Legion Auxiliary Unit 87 Woodsfield or Woodsfield Volunteer Fire Department.
