Connie L. Kavalieros, age 76 of Westerville, formerly of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023, at St. Ann’s Hospital after a four-week battle with COVID-19.
Connie was born on a small dairy farm in Woodsfield, Ohio, on June 24, 1947, to the late Frederick and Margaret Schumacher. Connie worked as a Registered Nurse for 45 years, tirelessly serving the Westerville community for the last 25 years of her career. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, planting flowers, traveling, reading, dancing, antiquing, and watching MSNBC. Connie gave unconditionally to others. The most important people in her life were her family and close friends.
Those left to cherish Connie’s memory include her son, Todd Kavalieros; her daughter, Teri (Kavalieros) Metz and her husband Mark; her son, Chris Kavalieros and his wife Andrea; four beloved grandchildren, Austin, Kristin, Lincoln, and Hartwell; and her sisters Patty and Linda. She was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Tony Kavalieros.
Family and friends will be received from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Saturday July 22, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon Saturday at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 330 S. Main Street Woodsfield, Ohio with Fr. Timothy Davison as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Sylvester Catholic Church Cemetery. A dinner will be held following graveside committal at the Generations Complex, 47115 Black Walnut Parkway, Woodsfield.
