Dale Edwin Morris, 89, of Woodsfield, OH, passed away on April 20, 2020. He was born July 11, 1930 in Woodsfield, OH, to the late James E. Morris and Ethel E. (McCammon) Morris.
He retired after 36 years with Ormet Corporation. He was a member of the Buchanan Presbyterian Church and the American Legion. Dale served in the U. S. Army from 1951 to 1953, in Germany as a medic during the Korean Conflict. As a lifetime farmer, he loved raising Arabian horses, beef cattle, and poultry. He was an avid fan of local high school sport programs and enjoyed attending county fairs.
Dale is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wilma Jean Cox Morris, of Woodsfield, OH; two daughters, Deborah (Samuel) Tewanger of Lower Salem, OH, and Connie (Allen) Jones of Vincent, OH; one son, Gregory Morris of Westerville, OH. He was a proud grandfather to Nathan (Carley)Tewanger, Derek (Emily)Tewanger, Chelsie Tewanger, Olivia Jones, and Matthew Morris. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Lydia Tewanger, Kade Tewanger, and Addelyn Tewanger. Also surviving is his brother, Gene (Doris) Morris of East Ridge, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Lee Morris.
Private services will be held at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home followed by interment at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Woodsfield, Ohio.
