Dale F. Schwall

Dale F. Schwall, 98, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Sunday January 31,2021 at Genesis Health Care at Zanesville, Ohio.  He was born in Monroe County Ohio February 25, 1922 a son of the late Arnold & Pearl Agin Schwall. 

He was a member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union Local 9-OH, and owned and operated Schwall’s Sporting Goods in Woodsfield.  He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Woodsfield, a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II, member of Grand Lodge F. & A.M. of Ohio Monroe Lodge #189, and VFW Post 5303.  Dale was an avid sportsman and member of the Monroe County Farmers and Sportsman's Club.

Dale’s family would like to thank the staff of Westwood Landing for their sincere kindness and caring over the years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Opal Hamilton Schwall – 1994, two brothers Floyd, and Roy (Hank) Schwall.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne Egger Schwall of Woodsfield, daughter Brenda (Stephen) Weber of Woodsfield, sons Tim (Janet) Schwall of Woodsfield, and Kirk (Beth) Schwall of Gahanna, Ohio, step children Jim (Janet) Egger of Woodlands, Texas, Carol (Richard) Bookout of El Paso, Texas, Gary (Penny) Egger of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Linda (Mark) Masters of Woodsfield, grandchildren Todd (Rachel) Weber, Chad (Dana) Weber, Jeanette Schwall, Jessica (Dalton) Summers, Kelsi Rae (Zach) Thomas, Sarah Kate (Kyle) Majher, and Andrew Kirk (Stephanie) Schwall, great grandchildren Miranda, Brandon, and Marissa Weber, Remington and Ruger Weber, Cassady Lohr, Samantha Knuchel, Gage, Cael, and Kasen Summers, and Morgan Sabine Thomas.

Private Services will be held with burial to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio.  Arrangements by Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio.
