David “Dave” Lee McKee, age 74, of Cain Ridge Road, Clarington, Ohio passed away Friday November 4, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 27, 1937 in Marysville, Ohio the son of the late George D. and Margaret Bell McKee.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Nancy Lynne Lehr McKee. Their family includes Dave II and Teri, Brian and Sheila both of Clarington, and Bruce and Norma of Morgantown, West Virginia. He is also survived by his brother George “Don” and Beverly of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. His grandchildren are Dave III (Leslie), Jennifer, Morgan, Adam, Ashton, and Lauren as well as three great grandsons Kyson, Dawson, and Kamron.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father in-law Woodrow and Esther Lehr of Reed City, Michigan.
Dave was an employee of the Ormet Corporation as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor for over 40 years until he retired to work on his farm which was the passion of his life. He was a Life-long member of the Zion United Methodist Church and a member of the F & AM Clarington lodge# 533. He was the co-owner of Buckeye Drilling Company and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a graduate of River High School class of 1956.
Friends will be received from (2-4) & (6-8) p.m. Monday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio and from 12 noon until time of Funeral Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday November 8, 2011 at the Zion United Methodist Church near Clarington, Ohio with Rev. Richard Wilson and Rev. Lee Ann Dunlap officiating. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
