Donald E. Biedenbach, 87 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday November 27, 2023 at Liza’s Place Wheeling, West Virginia. He was born near Lewisville, Ohio May 26, 1936 a son of the late Edmund & Stella Miller Biedenbach.
He was retired from Conalco Aluminum Hannibal, Ohio and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church of Woodsfield, Knights of Columbus, and an avid outdoorsman and farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 sisters Viola Burkhart, Evelyn Wasilewski, Mary Frances Schuller, Mildred Nau, and Clara Schumacher, and 6 brothers, Arthur, Bernard, Dennis, Norbert, Roger and an infant brother James.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Rita Schumacher Biedenbach of Woodsfield, 2 daughters Sally (Rodney) Lafollette of Woodsfield, and Jessica (Paul) Frick of New Concord, Ohio, grandchildren Justine (John) Neuhart, Anne Lafollette, Ryan Lafollette, and Charlie Frick, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday December 1st. and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday December 2, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon Saturday December 2, 2023 at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 330 S. Main Street Woodsfield, Ohio with Fr. Timothy Davison as celebrant. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery near Lewisville, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
Knights of Columbus prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. and the Rosary prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
