Edward Shipp

Edward (Ed) Shipp, 59 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Thursday March 13, 2025 at WVU Uniontown Hospital Uniontown, Pennsylvania.  He was born April 26, 1965 in Barnesville, Ohio to the late Harold Shipp and Jean Conley Cline.

Ed was a 1983 graduate of Woodsfield High School and after graduation joined the US Army serving as a Cavalry Scout in the Kuwait and Iraq wars, receiving many Badges and Awards, including the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.  He also worked at Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio.

Ed is survived by his wife of 21 years Sherry, brother Darryl of Newark, Ohio, sister Samantha (Mike) Shaner of Florida, daughter, Melissa (Tyler) Massagee of Florida, stepson, Christopher (Maria) Frazier of Maryland, step daughter, Jenna (TJ) Frazier of Woodsfield, grandchildren, Tyler Massagee, Zoey McGarry, Jadyn Stevens, Jace Stevens, J.J. Stevens, Mason Frazier and Anthony Frazier, special aunt Pat Lewis, and also two nieces Alicia and Maddie.

Friends received from 10 a.m. until time of a memorial and full military service at 11 a.m. Saturday March 29, 2025 Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio with Anthony McSwords officiating.
