Elizabeth Loraine Weber, 97 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday May 2, 2022 at Arbors at Woodsfield. She was born in Monroe County September 17, 1924 a daughter of the late Charles Edward Weber and Matilda M. Fisher Weber.
She was School secretary for Woodsfield High School for 39 years and Swiss Hills Vocational School for 8 years. She was executive director for the American Cancer Society for 10 years, member of the United Presbyterian Church of Woodsfield and the Presbyterian Church Ecila Circle. Life member of the American Legion Auxiliary #87, V.F.W. Auxiliary #5303, Homemakers Club, Lydia Temple #199, Past Chiefs Club of the Pythian Sisters, Served 3 years as District Deputy #16 Pythian Sisters Grand Temple, 1 year District President #5 V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Betty loved doing any type of craft, knitting and crochet, Ohio State games, and taking charter bus trips with friends. She enjoyed all the professional and social groups and organizations.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Leighton, Philip, Raymond, and Urban “Midge” Weber, sisters: Edith and Clara Weber and Viola Henning, nephews: Charles Edwin Weber, Charles Henning, and David Weber.
She is survived by nephews: John Weber of Woodsfield, William (Donna) Weber of Jerusalem, Ohio, nieces: Jane (Roger) Howard of Grove City, Ohio, Helen Marie Ring of Woodsfield, and Carol Yoho Henning of Woodsfield, several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon Monday May 9, 2022 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. Susan Lehosky officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio.
