Floyd R. Winland

Floyd R. Winland, age 81, of Graysville, Ohio passed away Friday, October 29th, 2021 at South Eastern Ohio Regional Medical Center with his three children by his side after an extended battle with Covid-19. He was born May 5th, 1940 in Graysville, Ohio and was the son of the late Vernon “Peanut” and Grethel Smith Winland.

He was retired from the Monroe County Garage after many years of service. He was a faithful member of the Graysville Church of Christ for many years. He always told us you are never prepared for your parents to pass on, but you must go on for your family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Jane “Patsy” Howell Winland, and two brothers, Roy Winland and Walter Winland.

He will be deeply missed by his three children, Patty “Gary” Beagle of New Matamoras, OH, Diana Winland of Conway, SC, Floyd “Buddy” Winland Jr. and his special pal Ben of the home. Also, by his grandkids Brian “Karen” Berga of Beavertown, OH, Melissa Beagle of New Matamoras, OH, Gary “Amy” Beagle Jr. of New Matamoras, OH, Sarah Jane “RJ” Barnhill of Loris, SC, Kristi Lynn “Kevin” Hamill of Conway, SC, MaryAnn Barnhill of Conway, SC, Randy “Bubby” Barnhill of Conway, SC, Cole “Hope” Winland of Woodsfield, OH, and Justin P-Nut “Melissa” Winland of Lewisville, OH. His great grandchildren Coleton, Carley, Anna, AJ, Caelynn, Jimmy, Remmy, Faith, and Addison, along with several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his two sisters Norma Jean Pentello of Columbus, OH and Pam Winland of Woodsfield, OH and two brothers Don “Brenda” Winland of Ashland, OH and Carl “Linda” Winland of Graysville, OH. He will also be missed by several in-laws, other family members, and friends.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 at the Bauer Turner Funeral Home in Woodsfield, OH from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Funeral services will also be held there on Thursday, November, 4th, 2021 at 1:00pm with Tim Fleeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Graysville Church of Christ Cemetery in Graysville, OH.
