Franklin Victor McGarry Sr.

Franklin Victor McGarry Sr., 81 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday July 14, 2020 at the Wetzel County Hospital New Martinsville, West Virginia.  He was born at Neffs, Ohio October 28, 1938 a son of the late George Edward McGarry and Evelyn June Radicliff McGarry. 

He retired from Y & O Coal Company, and a US Army veteran.  He was best known for being the maintenance man with Classic A Properties at Woodland Court Apartments in Woodsfield.

Preceded in death by one son David McGarry, daughter-in-law Meskal McGarry, sisters; Marlene Jeffers, Betty Meager, and Birdie Colvin, and brothers; Jack and Bill McGarry.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years; Betty Kay Saffell McGarry of Woodsfield, sons; Frank McGarry Jr., of Sardis, Ohio, and John (Diane) McGarry of Zanesville, Ohio, and daughters;  Cindy (Bill) Parden of Woodsfield and Marsha McGarry of Bridgeport, Ohio, one brother James (Ted) McGarry of Stewartsville, Ohio, 12 grandchildren, and several   great grandchildren.

 Friends received from 4-8 p.m. Friday July 17, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday July 18, 2020 with Bill Parden officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio.
