Gale E. Lumbatis, 82 of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Thursday May 27, 2021 at Arbors at Woodsfield, Ohio. He was born in Lewisville September 28, 1938 a son of the late Jacob (Bodie) Lumbatis and Beulah Grey Lumbatis.
He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and was a retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic. A member of the First Baptist Church of Woodsfield, and retired from Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18, District 6.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers David, and Richard Lumbatis.
He is survived by his wife Angel Lumbatis of Lewisville, sons Kurt Lumbatis of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jason Lumbatis and his wife Kristy Rothenbuhler of Lewisville, daughters Paige Liniger of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Karina Gross and her husband Sterling of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tara Chmura of Atlanta, Georgia, and Gwynn Stewart and her husband Ken of Woodsfield, Ohio, sisters Jeanie Roe of Lewisville, and Marlene Crum of Nashville, Tennessee, grandchildren Paul Liniger, Betsy Liniger, Tessa Weisenborn, Christopher & Abigail Lumbatis, Sara & Ben Gross, Nick & Zack Chmura, Rob Stewart, Katie Cooper, and Jadyn Stewart, great grandchildren Jenner & Jessa Stewart, and Jaedyn & Ava Cooper.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. Sunday until time of Funeral Service at 6 pm Sunday May 30, 2021 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Stephen Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery Lewisville, Ohio.
