Gary Potts

Gary N. Potts, 81 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday August 2, 2021 at Arbors at Woodsfield.  He was born August 6, 1939 a son of the late Earl & Eleanor Kocher Potts.

Gary was a full-time laborer having worked many jobs and was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.  He enjoyed bowling, coon hunting, fishing and horse shoes.  He was a member of the Tri-State Side Banners CB Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Potts, and one sister Lana Lynn Baker.

He is survived by his sons Duane Potts of Lewisville, Ohio, Ron Potts of Jerusalem, Ohio, and Darrin Potts of Lewisville, brothers Earl (Bud) Potts of Freemont, Ohio and Herman Potts of Beallsville, Ohio, sisters Orvella Neff of Middlebourne, West Virginia, Beverly Goddard of Woodsfield, and Bonnie Detling of Senecaville, Ohio, grandchildren James, Brandy, Breanna, and Zander, and great grandchild Natalie.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 Wednesday August 4, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday August 5, 2021 at Mt. Hope Cemetery near Marr, Ohio with Rev. David Cottrell officiating.
