George F. Ruckman Jr., 70 of Malaga, Ohio passed away Friday March 24, 2023 at Akron Hospital. He was born February 22, 1953 near Cameron, Ohio the eldest son of the late George F. Ruckman, Sr. and Zelda Vaness Ruckman.
He was a retired UMWA Coal miner for the Shoemaker Mine.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Dale and John Ruckman, foster mother Mary Nalley, also father-in-law Marvin Hossman, brother-in-law Charles Hossman, sister-in-law Pat Gibson, and brother-in-law Charles Crooks.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Hossman Ruckman of Malaga, son George (Christa) Ruckman and granddaughter Jentri Sue of Somerton, Ohio, also mother-in-law Bertha Hossman of Malaga, brothers Robert Ruckman of Kansas, Ron Ruckman of Woodsfield, Edward (Adelle) Ruckman of Newport, Ohio and Russel (Trish) Ruckman of Monroe, Ohio, and sister Dora (Darrell) Wyatt of North Carolina, in-laws Carol Crooks, Jerry (Darla) Hossman and Karen (Chad) Hughes all of Malaga and Dave Gibson and Sandy Ruckman, both of Woodsfield, and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday March 30, 2023 with Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery near Malaga, Ohio.
