Grethel M. Smith-Ring, 91, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday January 18, 2020 at her home. She was born in Monroe County Ohio August 22, 1928 the daughter of the late James and Martha Winland.
Grethel was strong in her Christian Faith and was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and most recently attended the Cameron Church of Christ. Grethel was a retired assistant librarian from the Monroe County Public Library. She also was a licensed cosmetologist and had a beauty shop in Stafford, Ohio in the 1940’s.
In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Howard Smith and her sister, Bethel Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Virgil Ring, of Woodsfield, three children Rhonda (Larry) Koslik and Fonda (Jeff) Turner of Woodsfield and Vaughn (Angie) Smith of Temple Terrace, Florida, and, Tonda (Dean) Rothenbuhler of Cameron (that she loved like a daughter), seven grandchildren, Kent Koslik, Kellen Koslik, Elizabeth (Turner) Clifford, Alexandra (Turner) Tennant, and Alexis, Rebecca and Quentin Smith, two great granddaughters Turner and Alice Tennant and future great grandson Leo Clifford.
Friends received from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday January 21, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday January 22, 2020 with Brian Price officiating.
