Harley Elwood Piatt, 82, of Lewisville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was a son of the late Hershel Piatt and Mildred (Springer) Piatt.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Cecil Piatt, Carl Piatt, Guy Piatt, and Kenneth Piatt.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Garnet (Crooks) Piatt; children, Janet (Jeff) Wilson, Kathy South, Donna (Tom) Taylor, William “Bill” (Ronda) Piatt, Richard “Clyde” (Angie) Piatt, Robert “Bob” (Beverly) Piatt, Thomas (Stacey) Piatt; and Michael Piatt, a grandchild that they raised as their own. In addition, he is survived by 15 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and his sister, Bonnie Weddle.
He worked in the timber industry, sawmills, and as a carpenter’s helper. He enjoyed farming, collecting antiques, listing to music, visiting with friends and family, and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended the Woodsfield Church of the Nazarene and a recent resident at Stellar Care Center.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday June 20th. at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday June 21st. 2021 with Pastor Joe Hise officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery Lewisville, Ohio.
