Homer Blair 83, of Graysville, Ohio passed away Sunday July 11, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 4, 1938 a son of the late Elisha and Lavina Rose Blair.
He was an avid farmer and liked taking care of his wells. He loved his family, liked to socialize, attend family reunions and a big jokester. He was very active in the church and community. He was an active Deacon for 53 years and a member of the Mt. Hope Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching westerns, gospel shows and country and western music.
He retired as a bus driver and transportation for the SOLSD. Early in life he worked for Ohio Valley Paving, Washington Electric and Conalco.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Paul Alan Blair, son-in-law Paul McKnight and sister Erma Stephans.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie (Ward) Blair, of 63 years, sons Homer E. (Sonny) (Monica) Blair of Graysville, John Blair of Graysville, Stephen (Jennifer) Blair of Graysville, daughters Pamela (Rex) Cox of St. Mary's, WV, Rebekkah (Becky) McKnight of Graysville, Beth (Bradley) Bettinger of Caldwell, Martha (Chad) Miller of Wheeling, WV, Naomi (Bryan) McKnight of Columbus, Sara (James) Alleman of Hilliard, grandchildren Eden (Michael) Fitzpatrick, Cody Blair, Melissa Cox, Jacob (Alex) Cox, Brittany (Kyle) Piatt, Paul Junior McKnight, John Wesley, Gracie, & Lucas Blair, Christian (Rachel) Bettinger, Madison (Ryan) Highman, Casey Bettinger, Madelyn, & Isabelle Miller, Cassie, Taylor, & Lindsey McKnight, Brayden, & Skylar Alleman, step-grandchildren Zander, Zoey, & Zenly Austin. Great grandchildren Mason, Audrianna, Riley, Brycen, Issac and Lincoln, sisters Clara Jean (Charles) Saffle, Minnie (Leland) Haney and several nieces, nephews and cousins
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday July 14, 2021 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Pastors Rex Cox and Tom Blake officiating. Graveside service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday July 15 at the Low Gap Cemetery near Graysville, Ohio.
