James Hampton Obituary

James W. Hampton, 73, Orlando, Fla., formerly of Akron, Ohio, died April 26, 2022, at Advent Health Orlando.  He was born on October 5, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late William and Clara Black Hampton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion of almost 21 years, Carolyn Sue Kindle; and a brother David Hampton.

James was a self-employed, painter (Hamptons Painting), retired. He enjoyed drag racing, spending time with his family, and watching his grandbabies grow up. His favorite meal was always a nice, big well-done steak that his grandkids would always promise him every time he’d come home from each hospital visit. He loved taking his grandkids to Orlando Speed World when they were younger.
