Jay Arthur Hamilton

Jay Arthur Hamilton, 70 of Delaware, Ohio formerly of Jerusalem, passed away Saturday February 22, 2020 at Arbors of Delaware in Delaware, Ohio.  He was born July 27, 1949 a son of the late Charles and Lois Young Hamilton of Lewisville, Ohio.

He lived in Jerusalem, Ohio until moving to Delaware, Ohio in 2013.  Jay graduated from Skyvue High School and then graduated from Bethany College.  He worked as a coal miner before moving to teaching at the Monroe County Achievement Center where he also coached the Special Olympics team.  Jay was an avid golfer, hunter, and traveler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Charles “Butch” Hamilton, and Greg Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife Judy Baker Hamilton, children Aaron Talbot, Terry Talbot and Jody Everett, and four grandsons Austin, Aiden, Jakob, and Lukas.

Friends received from 6 - 8 pm Tuesday February 25, and from 11am until time of funeral service at 1 pm Wednesday February 26, 2020 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, Ohio with Wayne Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery Beallsville, Ohio. A meal will be provided at the Beallsville First Christian Church following graveside service.
