Jean Bosley

Jean Bosley, of Woodsfield, was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 84, on December 23, 2020. She was born on February 20, 1936 in Ozark, Ohio to the late Albert and Rachel Hartline.

 Jean was a beloved member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ and dispatcher for the Woodsfield Emergency Squad for over 20 years. But it was the simple pleasures in life that brought her the most joy. Her faith in Jesus and the love for her family meant more to her than anything else. It wasn’t uncommon to find her tending to her garden and flower beds, completing crossword puzzles with ease, and swinging on her back porch, as those were just a few of her favorite pastimes.

 She was proceeded in death by her parents,  her loving husband of 49 years, Walter Bosley, and eldest son, Bruce Bosley. Previously departed loved ones also include her neighbor and best friend of 50 years, Lucy Schwall.

 She is survived by her children; Pam Eichhorn (George) of Frankfort, Kentucky, Barb Carslund of Woodsfield, Ohio, Trish Bosley- Guinther (Byron) of Glouster, Ohio, Brent Bosley of Woodsfield, Ohio, and Jennifer Childress (Tim) of Lewisville, Ohio. Jean is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and her beloved pets Zorie and Winston.

 Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday December 28, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday December 29, 2020 with Sam Bartrug officiating.  Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield
