Jerry R. Cunion, 69, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Thursday October 1, 2020 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born October 20, 1950 at Zanesville, Ohio a son of the late Ronald and step mother Clara Cunion and Pauline Foreman.
Jerry was a US Army Vietnam veteran, and a member of the Woodsfield Church of the Nazarene, member of the NRA, and the local chapter 12-84 Glory Riders - Christian Motorcycle Association. He was a driver for MCPT, substitute bus driver for Switzerland of Ohio school district, former employee of Bloomer Candy at Zanesville, and a volunteer at Wheeling Country Day School.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Libby Boykin.
He is survived by his wife Susie Smithberger Cunion of Woodsfield, daughter Samantha (Cody) Miller of Woodsfield, brother Randy (Emily) Kelly, sisters Teresa (Emmett) Cohyers, Tina Clarke, Diana Forsythe, Tammy (Matt) Yinger, and Ronda Samczuk, grandson Bexley Jett Miller, two children from a previous marriage Stephanie and Jeremey, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends received from 2-8 p.m. Sunday October 4, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday October 5, 2020 with Pastor Joe Hise officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio with luncheon to follow at Ruble Park.
