John R. Eberle

John R. Eberle, 61 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Monday December 25, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Barnesville, Ohio July 24, 1962 a son of the late Richard H. and Dorothy Hileman Eberle.

He was a devoted Christian and Methodist by faith and a member of the Beallsville Masonic Lodge 298.  He was a 1981 graduate of Beallsville High School, and a corrections officer at Belmont County Correctional Facility. John loved hunting and farming.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bruce C. Eberle.

He is survived by his nephew; Bruce (Emily) Eberle of Shadyside, Ohio and niece; Stacy (Jesse) Rhodes of Lewis Center, Ohio, many PA aunts, uncles, and cousins and special cousin Sheree (Paul) Amos, and numerous friends in Monroe County.

Friends received from 4 p.m. Tuesday January 2 until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. David Cottrell officiating..  Masonic Lodge services will also be held at 7 p.m.   Private graveside service will be Wednesday at the Beallsville Cemetery Beallsville, Ohio.
