John "Mike" Jorris

John “Mike” Jorris, 83 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away on Wednesday November 8, 2023 at his home.  He was born in Louisville, Kentucky July 29, 1940 a son of the late William Walter and Barbara Faye Wood Jorris.

He retired from Conalco Corporation and Ormet Aluminum Mill Products, Hannibal, Ohio.  Mike was a long-time member of the Woodsfield Fraternal Order of Eagles and Woodsfield Loyal Order of Moose.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Jorris.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years Kay, brother Fred Jorris, sister Rosanne Jorris, sister-in-law Marlene Ackerman and brother-in-law Fred (Martha) Ackerman.  He is also survived by sons Steve (Tru) Jorris, Greg (Kim) Jorris, Scott (Heather) Jorris and daughter Kellie (Troy) Huffman all of Woodsfield; grandchildren Krista (Adam) Jones, Sean (Courtney) Jorris, Michael (Charity) Jorris, Taylor (Jess) Jorris, Nick (Stephanie) Jorris, Kyle Jorris, Cameron (Shae) Jorris, Zach Jorris, Alexis (Luis) Dick, Brandon Dick, and Taylor Huffman; great grandchildren Jadyn, Kennadi, Keegan, Boone, Walker, Hudson, Brooklyn, Brantley, Brittyn, Emersyn and Grayson.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, cook outs, and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren in all their activities. Grandpa Mike will be missed.

There will be no service, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
