Judith Stephens

Judith W. Stephens, 85 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday February 19, 2021 at Arbors of Woodsfield.  She was born March 16, 1935 near Batesville in Noble County Ohio a daughter of the late Henry & Adeline Graham Arick.

She was a 1953 graduate of Batesville High School.  She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Barnesville, Ohio and as a clerk for the former KV Store in Woodsfield.  She was a member of the Woodsfield First United Methodist Church, and the VFW Auxiliary Post 5303.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis (Sharkey) Stephens – March 17, 2017, siblings Jacob Arick, Lois Perkins, Kathleen Wittenbrook, Vivian Gallagher, and Patricia Douglass.

She is survived by three sons; Jeffrey Stephens of Woodsfield, Roger (Holly) Stephens of Dover, Ohio, and David (Kristal) Stephens of Woodsfield, one brother William Arick of Quaker City, Ohio, four grandchildren; Jordan (Alesa) Stephens, Trent (Emma McCoy) Stephens, Kayley (Sam) Nardo, and Lydia Stephens, two step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. David Cottrell officiating.  Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield. www.bauerturner.com
