Kenneth James Roth, age 94, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away peacefully at The Arbors on June 19th 2025. Kenny was born on May 31, 1931 on the farm to Guy and Arlie (Drum) Roth. He often told people he was a 1931 model.
He graduated in 1950 from Green Local High School in Laings. Prior to joining the Army, Kenny worked on the farm and timbered with his father, Guy. He proudly served our country from 1952-1954. After the Army he worked heavy equipment construction until his employment at Conalco. In 1993 he retired from Conalco but continued to work on the farm until his late eighties. He took great pride in raising his cattle and making the farm as beautiful as possible.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #189 and Moffett Fletcher Church. In his earlier days he raced go carts with his brother Ralph. In retirement he enjoyed hand carving cut sandstone for neighbors and friends. He also enjoyed pulling his antique Farmall tractor.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his wife Wanda Harmon Roth, infant son Charles Christian, his daughter Jane Roth Williams, infant sister, five brothers, Lloyd, Virgil, Leland, Ralph, and Paul, his father and mother-in-law, Don and Hilda (Cline) Harmon, and his son-in-law Matt Singleton. He is survived by his daughter Sherri Singleton of Woodsfield, his three grandchildren whom he was very proud of and brought him great joy, John Schumacher of Woodsfield, Ariana Williams Heath of Tacoma, Washington, and Lance Schumacher of Missoula, Montana, his son-in-law Robert Williams of Woodsfield and his sister-in-law JoAnn (Harmon) Dailey of Commercial Point, Ohio along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 4-8 Sunday, June, 22nd at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 South Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, June 23rd 2025 with William Abrams and Sam Bartrug officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio. Masonic Lodge service will be held at 7:30 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
