Kenneth Smith

Kenneth C. Smith, 91, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday November 19, 2019 at the Arbors of Woodsfield. He was born in Low Gap, Monroe County on October 28, 1928 a son of the late Everett and Waife Cline Smith.

Kenneth retired from Ormet Aluminum at Hannibal, Ohio after 32 years where he worked in the cast house as a furnace operator. He had originally worked on the Buckeye Pipeline prior to going to Ormet.  He was an US Army veteran of the Korean War. As a youth, he attended the Low Gap Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Ethel Smith and a brother Charles Howard Smith.

He is survived by his wife Doris Pearl Smith, daughters Trudy (Sherman) Pyles, Janet Smith and Sue (Alex) Triggs, all of Woodsfield, grandchildren Stacey (Roman) Lori, Marlena (Brian) Kress, Joshua Merckle, great grandchildren Bede, Gwyneth and Aubrey, brother Ralph Gene Smith of Newark, Ohio, sister Emily Ann (Donald) Hartshorn of Woodsfield, and sister-in-law Grethel Smith Ring of Woodsfield.
