Larry Eugene Truax

Larry Eugene Truax, 81 of Grove City, Ohio formerly of Sycamore Valley, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side Saturday, March 29, 2025.  He was born on June 21, 1943 in Monroe County, Ohio a son of the late Harold and Bessie Parks Truax.

He had dual membership at Creighton Ridge Church of Christ Sycamore Valley, Ohio and Southwestern Church of Christ Grove City, Ohio

He was a US Army Veteran, Vietnam Era and retired from the East of Chicago Pizza Company.

Larry will be fondly remembered as a loving father and grandfather, a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, and a US Army Veteran. His love for life was reflected in his joyous laugh and contagious smile, which will be cherished by all who knew and loved him

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two nephews John and Todd Truax.

He is survived by his sons, Steve (Tracy) Truax of Fishers, Indiana and Mike (Cherri) Truax of Greenville, Ohio, daughter, Sherry (CJ) Andrews of Grove City, Ohio, brothers, Roger (Penny) Truax of Marietta, Ohio and Melvin (Sue) Truax of St. Mary’s, West Virginia, 8 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, former spouse, Carol Dawn (Freitag) of Woodsfield, Ohio and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Southwestern Church of Christ at 3767 Grove City Road, Grove City, Ohio and Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. at the Creighton Ridge Church of Christ, State Route 260, Sycamore Valley, Ohio with Dale Parsley officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
