Lori Jean Froehlich Richter, 56 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday June 11, 2022 at WVU Wheeling Hospital Wheeling, West Virginia. She was born in Barnesville, Ohio July 4, 1965 a daughter of Irvin Allar of Jerusalem, Ohio and the late Beverly Froehlich Allar.
She was a 1983 graduate of Beallsville High School and then graduated from Ohio University and received her Master’s degree from Salem Teikyo University. She was employed by Switzerland of Ohio School district for 35 years having taught at Bethel, Midway, Graysville, Skyvue, Beallsville and Woodsfield grade schools’ kindergarten to 9th. grade.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Clem and Trella Froehlich and Clarence and Mary Allar.
In addition to her father; Irvin (Myrna) Allar of Jerusalem, Ohio she is survived by her husband of 31 years; Dale Richter of Woodsfield, 3 children who were her pride and joy; Ryan (Kayla) Richter of Woodsfield, Ohio, Rodney Richter of Woodsfield, Ohio, and Renee Richter of Vienna, West Virginia, one granddaughter Piper Reese Richter, 3 sisters; Tia (Joe) Burkhead of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Tanya Bright (Steve Reeves) of Barnesville, Ohio, and Tonda (Pat) Carlin of Jerusalem, Ohio, several nieces and nephews.
Friends received from 2-8 p.m. Thursday June 16 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday June 17, 2022 with Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery Beallsville, Ohio.
