Lorraine Underwood Wilson

Lorraine (Underwood) Wilson, faithful member of the Richfork Church of Christ, departed this life for eternal life on May 9, 2026 at the Wetzel County Hospital. Born March 6, 1936 the daughter of the late Robert and Orpha Underwood of Paden City, WV.

Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker, maker of handmade quilts, and canner of fruits and vegetables from the family garden.

Married the love of her life, Willard (Bill) Wilson on August 25, 1955. A marriage that lasted 69 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willard, youngest son Sam, great-grandson Kye O'Brien, and all of her siblings, Charles, Pearl, Hazel, Helen, Carmen, and Ira (Ben).

She is survived by sons, Willard Jr. of Woodsfield, Ohio, Lewis (April) of New Martinsville, WV, Ralph (Jeannette) of Woodsfield, Ohio and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday May 12, 2026 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 13, with Mike Henthorn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield.
