Margaret Marie Hansen

Margaret Marie Hansen, 86 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday January 27, 2021 at OSU Wexner Medical Center Columbus, Ohio.  She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, August 19, 1934 a daughter of the late Henry & Margaret Beaghan Hopf.

She was director of Monroe County Board of Elections, and Chairman of Central Committee for the Republican Party.  She was a Monroe County Art Council artisan, and involved with the Black Walnut Festival Arts and Crafts. She chronicled National, State and Local history through art, and helped in preserving history of Woodsfield High School with Alumni Commemorative Art.  She was a volunteer at the Monroe County Historical Society, a Red Cross Swim Instructor, and member of the Junior Women’s Club.

Preceded in death by one daughter Cynthia L. Antill – Sept. 18, 2011.

She is survived by her daughter Sheri (Rick) Hedlund of Kent, Washington, son Mike (Allison) Hansen of Woodsfield, grandchildren Kelci (Derek) Harmon, Kordell (Amanda) Antill, Taylor (Jared) Ward, Korin and Chad Hedlund, great grandchildren Deklin, Bo, Indie, and Demi.

Friends will be received for a Celebration of Life from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday June 18, 2022 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio.
