Marian Rutherford

Marian E. Rutherford, 75 of Marietta, Ohio formerly of Antioch passed away August 4, 2025 at her home.  She was born in Barnesville, Ohio August 5, 1949 a daughter of the late Dean Ellis Rutherford and Doris Briggs Rutherford.

Marian was a 1967 graduate of River High School and Columbus Business University.  She was a secretary for both USAir, and Waste Management in Columbus, Ohio for many years and returned back to Antioch and worked at a part-time rural mail carrier.  She had attended the Woodsfield First United Methodist Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a active member of the Midway Community Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Rutherford.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Jeanne and Al Lang of Marietta, nephews Aaron Lang, Ben (Chas) Lang, Dwight (Lisa) Lang and Garrett (Caroline) Lang, and great nieces and nephews Andrew, Braxton, Colsen, Mollie, Haven, Ella, Declan, and Lilly.

Friends will be received from 4 – 7 p.m. Friday Aug. 8th, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Aug. 9th, 2025 with Rusty Atkinson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery Antioch, Ohio.
