Marlene M. Ackerman 82, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Thursday December 12, 2024 at Arbors at Woodsfield. She was born in Woodsfield September 20, 1942 a daughter of the late Francis “Fritz” and Virginia Ackerman.
She was a lifetime resident of Woodsfield, and a graduate of Woodsfield High School and member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Marlene enjoyed doing puzzles, coloring and word search.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Lionel Emdin, brother-in-law John “Mike” Jorris, and nephew Michael Emdin.
She is survived by her sister Kay Jorris with whom she lived, brother Fred (Martha) Ackerman of Palmetto, Florida, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, her best friend Kathy Cline and dog Annie of Barnesville, Ohio.
As per Marlene’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Following cremation, inurnment will take place at the convenience of the family in Oaklawn Cemetery.
