Mary Ellen Eddy

Mary Ellen Eddy, 81 of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by husband and sons. She was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia on June 22, 1941, a daughter of the late Melvin and Blanche Deitch.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family with all her heart. She was retired from Monroe Water Systems and also, a former receptionist for Dr. DePalma, Dr. Cain and Dr. Kerr. She was a member of the Goudy Church of Christ. She enjoyed her flowers, shopping, attending worship services and of course, celebrating her favorite holiday Christmas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Ralph and Gene Deitch, one sister, Gaynell Auten and one son, Richard Eddy, Sr.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years Paul Eddy, three sons Jim (Brenda) Roberts, Terry Roberts, and Bob (Sally) Eddy and two daughters, Sherry (Phil) Johnson and Paula Summers, twelve grandchildren Justin (Kimberly) Roberts, Chelsie (Tucker) Brown, Dalton Roberts, Tasha (Aaron) Headley, Philena (David) Paher, Jennifer Munoz, Caitlin Johnson, Dylan (Cassandra) Johnson, RJ Eddy, Jonathan (Mikayla) Eddy, Tyler Eddy and Keith Summers, 25 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Bob Deitch and Duane (Carol) Deitch and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Friday, February 10 th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with funeral services on Saturday, February 11 th @ 11:00 a.m. at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio with Sam Bartrug, Greg Yost and Brent Roth officiating. Interment at West Union Cemetery near Sardis, Ohio.
