Mary Jo Mathews

Mary Jo Mathews, 79 of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, West Virginia.  Mary Jo was born November 2, 1942 in Parkersburg, WV, and was adopted as an infant.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, John and Sylvia Woods, son, Bill Mathews, as well as her birth mother, Della Potesta. 

She is survived by her husband, Roger, who loved her dearly and they recently celebrated 41 years of marriage.  Also surviving are her daughter and son in law, Rhonda and Mark Dalyai, of Hurricane, WV, her son and daughter in law, John and Janice Cart, of Phoenix, AZ, son and daughter in law, Kevin and Charlene Mathews, of Dickinson, Texas, and son, Jeff Mathews, of Texas.  She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. 

Visitation will be on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. and funeral service will be on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio.
